The Museum is offering a 'paid for' dig on the Sharktooth Hill bone bed, the location is on private property. The Museum will keep any specimens found that are of scientific value and display them with your name, all others are yours to keep. Paid reservations are required and you have to be a Member of the Museum to participate. Membership levels can be found at:

Dig dates are:
DATES for Sharktooth Hill Dig April 21st and 22nd
Limited space. Meet at the museum at 7 am sharp! Must be present for 7:15am orientation, no exceptions!
Each day is a separate dig. Cost of the dig is Membership plus $50 per day (you only have to pay for membership once, which covers you for one year). You will also be required to sign a hold harmless. Hurry, space is limited!

We're open Thursday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.

Tools that would be useful are a prybar, small shovel, trowel, brushes, chisels, screens, fine sieve, geological hammer, 2 or 3 lb hammer and a 10x hand lens. Bring newspaper to wrap fossils in, a few Ziploc baggies, buckets or crates to carry out fossils, plenty of water, lunch, a shade umbrella if you have one and sunscreen (there isn't any shade on the hill). For safety wear protective goggles, safety helmet, gloves, sturdy shoes or boots, hat and suitable clothing. Please avoid creating hazards for others.
