![]() ![]() The Museum is offering a 'paid for' dig on the Sharktooth Hill bone bed, the location is on private property. The Museum will keep any specimens found that are of scientific value and display them with your name, all others are yours to keep. Paid reservations are required and you have to be a Member of the Museum to participate. Membership levels can be found at: NEW SITE BEING OFFERED! You can also dig at old site (Slow Curve) if preferred. Dig dates are: We're open Thursday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. Email: bvmnh@sharktoothhill.com Mailing address: Tools that would be useful are a prybar, small shovel, trowel, brushes, chisels, screens, fine sieve, geological hammer, 2 or 3 lb hammer and a 10x hand lens. Bring newspaper to wrap fossils in, a few Ziploc baggies, buckets or crates to carry out fossils, plenty of water, lunch, a shade umbrella if you have one and sunscreen (there isn't any shade on the hill). For safety wear protective goggles, safety helmet, gloves, sturdy shoes or boots, hat and suitable clothing. Please avoid creating hazards for others.
